bio

Barbara Bond is a voice actor and singer in Southern California. She began doing voice over in Las Vegas, focusing on commercials and recording interstitials at the PBS station where she worked. Her vocal style is warm and friendly, like a chat over coffee with a good friend.

She has a B.A. in voice from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and studied acting in the adult conservatory at South Coast Repertory in Costa Mesa.

Her improv education includes the IFA program at The Second City Training Center in Las Vegas. She spent five silly years with the Las Vegas Improvisation Players, and played with the Orange County-based troupe, TriBycle.

A passionate advocate for public broadcasting, she started out as a station volunteer at Vegas PBS, and eventually became their Volunteer Coordinator. She later moved to California to work for KOCE-TV, now known as PBS SoCal.

Barbara is also a strong supporter of arts education initiatives and Native causes and artistic projects. She served as President of the South Orange County School of the Arts Foundation, protecting and promoting arts education in the community.

With a love for acting on stage as well as the microphone, she spent twelve years with the Las Vegas Black Gospel Theatre. She used her event management, fundraising and artistic experience to co-found Andi Jones Music and Productions, a nonprofit music and theater company that performs in OC and Los Angeles.
